Colourful Hilltribe Villages dot the forested mountains of  our district, Pang Mapa.  From CAVE LODGE you can easily visit  the Lisu, Lahu, Karen and Shan people. Regular one and multi day trips with licensed guides are available from  the Lodge.  For those with a sense of adventure we can supply maps, advice and a packed lunch so you can explore these friendly villages by yourself.  It's fun to team up with some of our other guests, trek to Karen or Lahu villages and meet the fascinating tribal people.

The scenery in our region is the most spectacular in Nth Thailand, with white and red limestone peaks rising above forested mountains and deep valleys.  The villagers still live their traditional lifestyles and retain the distinct cultures of their tribe.

TREKKING TOURS

 TWO & THREE DAY HILLTRIBE TREK: 

Let our local, TAT registered, English speaking guides take you to some of Thailand's remotest Lahu, Shan, Lisu and Karen villages and explore amazing caves.

  Small group adventures.  We walk 4 to 5 hours a day and stay in friendly villages far away from the over-trekked routes around Chiang Mai and Pai. 

COST:  1800(2day), 2500(3day) Baht  includes guide, accommodation and all meals, except breakfast on day 1 and dinner day 2 or 3. 

ONE DAY HILLTRIBE TREK AND CAVE: 

Walk from the Lodge to a local Karen village famous for its weaving.  Visit Chedi Cave and another easy long cave with beautiful formations.

COST:  650 Baht.  Includes expert guide, caving light and helmet, and lunch.
